NEC Honey bee No1 commercial rescue and removal

The bees found a home between the most expensive rendered wall ever and an emergency exit, three different pest controllers have been called out before but were never able to complete the removal properly and the bees had always returned, dispatching bees does not work, we are very much against this method, the poison used will only last three years and the smell of the honey will always attract others. We decided to peel back the outer skin and nibble our way through the wooden framework to reach the combs. The bees and comb were successfully extracted and the remaining void filled ensuring that no honey bees would ever regain access. Rob wishes he had the chance to film this properly, towards the end of the job, because of the heat and the smell of honey another colony from over the road (we removed this colony too at a later date) came to rob the honey, the two colonies attacked and collided with each other, intense fighting over the extracted honey comb, was an amazing and horrific sight at the same time. note to self, keep camera close by at all times. Bees were taken to quarantine ready to be later re-homed.
